I knew this wouldn't take long... the Van Gogh Museum is the first museum in Europe to offer an iPhone app for one of their upcoming exhibitions. It's brilliant! Imagine youself in Amsterdam, coffee in hand, strolling through the VG Museum... you have questions? No need to wear the used headphones or listen to a guide; it's all there on your very own phone. I did a search, and the Brooklyn Museum in NY has an iPhone app, and Rick Steves offers iPhone apps for tours of major cities and their museums. Yet another reason why my beloved BlackBerry needs to step it up in the app department!

That is a great idea. Obviously this is totally useful since museums have had those tape players for the walking tour. IM sure they can do all types of cool things like you could order the art print and have it sent to your house.
