Happy Saturday- just 1 week until Santa comes to town! Thanks to Jessica for today's My Stocking...

Digging into a stocking on Christmas morning has been one of my favorite traditions for one reason: immediate gratification. Growing up, my brother and I had to patiently take turns unwrapping one gift at a time to allow for ample photo ops. It's great for family photo albums. It's torture on a child.
This year, I'm yearning for a stocking filled with luxe indulgences. Pictured clockwise:
There's no better way to treat yourself than with a decadent culinary creation, like truffles infused with Williams-Sonoma's French Lavender ($5.95).
Then again, I'm not one to turn down piles of sweets in the season's premier flavor: peppermint. Peppermint swirls, ribbons and canes ... I'm not picky! (Find your favorites at Hammond's Candies online.)
Once the holidays come to an end, a Starbucks gift card will be a lifesaver on the first day back at the office. How else will I stay alert during a staff meeting?
Wisconsin's harsh winter makes bundling up necessary. Instead of boring black leather gloves, this pair by Diane von Furstenberg ($200) makes snowy days a bit more tolerable. Added bonus: the long knit cuff prevents drafts from sneaking up the sleeves of your coat.
And where would I be without a cocktail ring, like this stunner from Kate Spade ($125)? It'll glimmer in the candlelight on Christmas day and make an impact well into the New Year. Happy Holidays!
