Style you Sunday: Memorial Day Beach-bound

If the weather is right, one of the best paces to celebrate the official kick-off to summer is the beach.  I know Cape Cod's sands will be overflowing with tanning teens, parents running after their kids, and boogey-boarders this weekend (if our MA warm weather sticks around!).  

Here's a look for the beach, starting with a chic swimsuit (I am so into stripes right now). Don't forget a bright cover-up tunic, hat, shades, and sunscreen to shield the sun's rays.  A good book (def want to read The Carrie Diaries) and iPod plus friends, and you're on your way to being a beachy babe!

SATC2: From movie to reality

It's here! Sex and the City 2 is out in theaters today!  The excitement began last summer when the 2nd movie was confirmed, and pictures of filming surfaced.  I ooohed over Charlotte's Louboutins, recreated Carrie's Halston look, and was inspired by Miranda's chic, mustard attire.  Now in celebration of the opening today, here are some ways to channel your inner Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Samantha.

While in New York City for Kyle's graduation, we made time to stop by my most favorite flea market- the Brooklyn Flea. For those that haven't been there, make this every-Saturday market a must on your to-do list next time you are in Brooklyn. From food to jewelry, vintage items of clothing, furniture, books, and more, I couldn't get enough!

In a word, perfect.  I think the producers ended LOST so well and did it justice for us viewers and for the characters.  When they were all in the church coming together, it reminded me of the final Titanic scene, when Rose finally dies and joins everyone from the boat. In the end, what happened happened. Those who died on the island really died. Those who got off the island lived their lives (and we are left to imagine those lives), died, and were then all together in the end, as it should be.  

Now it's time to start from the beginning and watch it over again (which started over the weekend).

Every year Ms. Mac's family hosts a BBQ for Memorial Day.  With a pool in the backyard, great tunes, and her dad a wiz at the grill, it's always a fun day of tanning, eating, and hanging out with best friends.  

Here's a look for attending any backyard BBQ.  Start with an easy, summer dress, add flats and bring along some SPF lipstick and a cool pair of shades. Don't forget to show some American pride, and remember, it's the official kick off to summer!
