Golden Globes fashion review

THE GOOD
Glitter Gals:
Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive- my best-dressed, fits her like a glove
Sandra Bullock in Jenny Packham- bangs are a bit much, but I really like the dress
Carrie Underwood in Badgley Mischka- classic and elegant

Jewel-toned Jewels
Jane Krakowski- works the baby bump well and beautiful color on her
Amy Adams in Marchesa- love the lace/cut out details and train
Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier- stunning color on her and love the neckline

Bright Stars:
Mandy Moore in Monique Lhuillier- love the bold color and tulle
Kyra Sedgwick in Emilio Pucci- unique color for her
Julianne Moore in Lanvin- gorgeous draping and daring of her to pick this shade..she rocks it. My second best-dressed.

THE "BAD"
I-wish-I-liked-this/could've-done-better Ladies:
Heidi Klum in Marc Jacobs- she looks kind-of a mess to me. Eye makeup was too heavy.
January Jones in Versace: too much boob!!
Natalie Portman in Viktor and Rolf- just not a fan. Would've preferred w/o the necklace.
Michelle Williams in Valentino- so disappointed.  Too matronly and blah.

Who were your best & worst dressed?

  6. I loved Anne Hathaway and Olivia Wilde but I didn't like Sandra Bullock. THe look didn't go together, she should have styled her hair differently in my book. I agree with all of your bads - HK looked awful! And Michelle Williams, so disappointed. I really liked Angie's green dress though.

  8. you have great taste! I agree with you 99% except that sleeve on Julliane Moore is bugging me, but she did rock that color. Oh these, I think I'd pick Mandy as my fave and Anne as my runner up!!

  9. I do not like Sandra's new look... she is too pretty for those bangs.

  10. Definitely agree with a lot of your choices - Catherine Zeta-Jones' gown was gorgeous, and I absolutely despised the rose detail on Natalie Portman's gown.

One of my faves was probably Olivia Wilde's - it was a little prom-like, but it was stunning.

  13. I'm in love with the jewel tone dresses, esp the green! I am torn on the portman dress...maybe if the rose was not right in the middle!

  20. So fun to read the difference of opinions!
I actually wasn't crazy about Anne's - the color was sort of blah for me. Catherine, stop my heart beautiful! And how cute is Jane's bump, I totally missed it that night! Really loved Olivia Wilde's look too. Michelle Williams, def my worst, what WAS that?!

  21. You forgot to mention the lady that wore her shoes of two different color. Cannot remember her name. She was such a mess! I think that it was Bernadette Peters.

I do agree with your best and worst dressed.

  25. Anne Hathaway wasn't my personal favorite, but I thought she looked incredible- that dress fit her perfectly! I don't think anyone else could have worn that as well as she did.
Emma Stone was my favorite- with her new blonde hair and that sorbet colored Calvin Klein dress, she looked stunning!

  26. I agree with you on Sandra Bullock. Such a shame, she looks almost tired. I find it totally amazing how some just get it so right and others get it so wrong.

  27. I loved Anne's dress, even if the shoulders were a little big. And I though Sofia Vergara and Eva Longoria looked beautiful. Sandra Bullock too. I hated, hated, hated Michelle Williams' dress.

  28. Jane Krakowski was my fav! Any woman that can rock a baby bump and look that good gets my vote.

  29. Agree with you on all of the bad ones but I have to add in Julianne! I do love the color on her but that sleeve is just so tragic. It hides the gorgeous neckline!

  30. I love Anne Hathaway, however Julianne Moore..not crazy about it.

  31. I loved Ann Hathaway's look the best ;)

  32. My fave is Olivia's dress, but without CL platforms.

  35. See, I loved January Jones, I thought she looked amazing!!! And I didn't like Sandra's look at all though I hate saying that since she's such a gem!!!

  36. I loved Angelina's and Anne Hathaway's dresses. They looked the best. The necklace was too much on Natalie's outfit, or all the red accessories.

  42. I was sooo disappointed by Michelle Williams' dress too. I usually love Valentino, but this dress just seemed like such an odd choice.
