The Lacoste marketing strategy is taking a different direction this year. From the classic tennis look to now "Unconventional Chic", the Lacoste polo is synonymous with prep. What do you think of this new Lacoste? Instead of just wearing your polo with a pleated skirt, now you can wear it with a sequined skirt...I like the idea of where this concept is going, and modern fashion is all about mixing styles, prices, etc. The ad campaign is beautifully shot: simple, elegant, and styled well.
Want to be "unconventionally chic" ala Lacoste? Here's how to get it:

This look totally reminds me of Sharon Stone's Oscar outfit from the late 90s, when she wore a white oxford shirt (I think it was from Gap) with a beautiful skirt.
ReplyDeleteI love the polo with the short skirt!
I'm loving their new concept/look! Switching it up can never be bad! xo
ReplyDeleteI feel like it would be really hard to play tennis in those heels. But I have to admit the look is fabulous!
ReplyDeletelove those earrings!

Getting HOTTER and Hotter! Comfort and glamour a mix:)
ReplyDeleteit could definitely be a hit! I wore my sequin skirt with my chambray shirt
ReplyDeleteI like your interpretation better than the ads, a little more realistic! (Although I get the 'reach' aspect of marketing) Interesting...aaaaand I like it!
ReplyDeleteLove this, and I have the very sequined skirt to wear a polo with! XX!
ReplyDeleteVery different for them!
ReplyDeletea very cool idea and looks great on those girls. I would love to do this too but unfortunately, I couldn't hate how I look in polos more!
ReplyDeletei think you've got the right idea, a little bit of prep is fun!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous black heels <3
ReplyDeleteThat's a great look!
ReplyDeletePreppy glam is a great look! Have a wonderful weekend! Cheers!
ReplyDeletethis is definitely unexpected, coming from Lacoste, but i think it's great! it definitely puts a fun new twist on their brand that i think people will come to embrace.
ReplyDeleteOoh I love this idea!! I'm not a huge fan of polos since preppy isnt my vibe but with a sparkly mini skirt I could certainly be persuaded :)

I prefer the outfit you put together, but I'm not completely sold. I love the idea of mixing casual and dressy, and preppy and trendy. But I think the Lacoste brand and ubiquitous polo is just too preppy for it to work.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really feeling it that much. I've never really been a fan of Lacoste to begin with.
ReplyDeleteMeh...I love me some polo shirts, but think they should stay far, far away from sequins. Interesting for photos/runway, but weird in real life. On the plus side, I think the outfit you put together is much better than the ones in the ad campaign!
