Fun idea for a girl's night in!
Saturday night is the future Mrs. A's bachelorette that I have been planning- can't wait! Pics to come on Monday. Have a great weekend!
Loving the new issue of Rue Magazine and these 6 pics are saved on my desktop for inspiration. Oh, and I would love to be served breakfast in bed with this adorable, yellow tray.
Have you seen the new issue?
This weekend's showers in Maine for the future Mrs. A were such fun. Saturday started with a English-themed shower (where fascinators were a must!), and Sunday was a shower brunch. Gerber daisies (the bride's fave) were the floral decor at each shower. Both had yummy food, and Sunday's had a bellini/champagne bar!
Here is what I wore.
- Black Mossimo tshirt
- J.Crew pencil skirt
- Black Tory Burch flats
- Fascinator from Etsy
- Hearts on Fire diamond studs
- I.N.C. dress from Macy's- last seen here.
- Rose gold floral sandals from Old Navy
- Gold studs
The future Mrs. A's festivities continue with her bachelorette party this Saturday night and a Boston-area shower next Saturday!
"Soooo this may not be the prettiest photo, but this is what summer is at my (parent's) house. My younger brothers catch frogs & toads and put them in one of the little pits where our basement windows peep out. By the end of summer, we have a full-fledged 'frog pit'. They feed & water them, and it's kind of interesting to see all of the different ones they catch within our 1 acre yard! Boys will be boys, I guess!"

Inviting the President to your wedding @ The Oceanside Bride
She invited the Obamas to her wedding after getting engaged there in 2009 at his inauguration. The White House sent back a reply- how special!
Tomorrow, I am off to Maine for 2 showers for the future Mrs. A.
Have a great weekend!
I love the earrings that Rachel Zoe featured in the "arrow minded" The Zoe Report on July 18th. While she also featured a splurge Anito Ko version and a steal version by House of Harlow, I began looking for more arrow accessories. I had seen this Etsy bracelet on another blog recently, and now I find myself searching for my perfect arrowed piece. Here are some at various options that pique my interest.
What direction would you go?
Today I am stepping out of the office for a work event in downtown Boston. I never really get the chance to be out of the office much, so I take advantage by dressing up a bit more than I normally do! I have been waiting for the perfect look and wanting to post a WIWW wearing this beautiful necklace I won from Naina at STYLE'N. Isn't it just gorgeous!?
I am wearing:
- White House Black Market LBD- got on sale at the outlet
- Giveaway win purple stone necklace- Etsy shop Margaret Ruth's Beads
- Tory Burch black flats
- Diamond studs
What are you wearing today?
we went for lobster rolls!
Beautiful day by the water.

I starred this Real Simple recipe email in my Gmail last week, and tonight I decided to make it. Being culinarily challenged, the small ingredient list, fast cook time, and that it's in one pot was right up my alley. I also love summer squash.
I made a few edits. The recipe called for halibut, but Southie Stop & Shop didn't have, so I went with cod...very New England! The recipe called for jalepenos and diced tomatoes; I decided to get zesty chile spicy tomatoes- killing 2 birds with 1 stone! I recipe suggested red onion, but it gives me heartburn, so I went with a yellow onion.
Had to do a little improvising here...not to self: need a larger pan!
I was worried that the cod wasn't fully cooked, so I left it on the stove about 5 minutes longer than the recipe said. Overall, the dish was delicious and very easy. I have 3 meals of leftovers too!
