Halloween feels like it snuck up on me. I mean, the weather was in the 80s earlier this month! With cooler temperatures and the realization that Christmas is less than two months away (omg), I am getting in the orange + black spirit, reading blogs for fashion inspiration, recipes, and festive decor. And there's always Pinterest.

After seeing Footloose on Sunday, I am loving this movie and everything that comes with it: Julianne Hough's down-home country fashions (especially her red cowboy boots...need me a pair of those), the soundtrack (especially this song, in the best dance part of the movie), and the leading man from Stoughton. Getting my PopSugar email earlier this week and seeing that Deborah Lippmann created two nail polish sets in honor of the movie remake, simply added more fuel to the fire. The first set is my favorite.

Hotels.com asks: What was your favorite vacation?

Hotels.com recently reached out to me to participate in a fun post for their Facebook page, asking what was my favorite vacation? I love to travel and have visited some amazing places, but my 3 days in Sicily was my ultimate favorite.

I went on this trip while studying abroad in Florence in 2006, as part of an Italian architecture class. Truth be told, I took the class just to go on this trip!

We traveled by train, plane, and bus leaving the Italian mainland for Sicily's west coast. Our home base was in Palermo, where we visited various architectural spots and walked throughout the city.

We then moved on to the seaside city of Cefalu, where I put my toes into the Mediterranean Sea for the first time!

The final day we spent in Segesta, known for the Greek temple and amphitheater. It was this day trip that I knew Sicily was very unique. Where else can you find the beach, classic Italian cuisine, and ancient temples on one island?

We visited a few other small towns on the west coast during those 3 days, but did not get to the east coast, known for the town of Taormina and the volcano Mount Etna. That just means one thing...I need to go back!

What I'm Wearing Wednesday: Nespresso #CoffeeConvo Boston Event

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a Nespresso event at their Boston location on Newbury Street, co-hosted by Ted Allen of Chopped & Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Fame! I was very excited for this unique opportunity to visit the store and dine with Ted.

The evening did not disappoint, starting with the chic, European-style store decor that greeted us and ending with a gifted Lattissima+ brewing machine to each attendee(!), their newest product. I loved each course, paired with complimentary wine and espresso, and the chance to hang with old bloggie friends (Naina & Lissy) and meet new bloggie friends whose blogs I've read for a while (Megan, Elizabeth, Bridget, and Tina).
