Florence
In one month, I will be traveling back to Europe for 10 days visiting Florence, the Amalfi Coast, and Barcelona. I've talked about my love of Italy, mainly Florence, from my study abroad in spring 2006, and 6 years later, I am so (beyond) excited to be going back.  I can't wait to...

  • Gaze up at the Duomo, in awe at the beauty and architecture, like the first time.
  • Walk the walk from the Duomo to the Villa Rossa (Syracuse's Florence campus), stopping at my fave sandwich shop.
  • See the city from Piazzale Michelangelo.
  • Eat gelato (stracciatella, my fave) every. single. day.
  • Sample the daily pastas and get the blueberry steak at Acqua al 2.
  • Visit my host mom, Nonna's, apartment.
Have you been to Florence/the Amalfi Coast? It's been a while, so any suggestions for me?  I've never been to Barcelona so please do share tips, must-sees, favorite restaurants, etc.!  I picked up a book but like hearing first-hand.

  2. You are so lucky! I have never been to Florence or the Amalfi coast but I can certainly recommend any and everything Barcelona. (My must visit restaurant recommend is Tapas24. You should visit all the Gaudi spots - parc guell, casa battlo, of course la sagrada famillia. there is so much to do there so let me know if you have any questions as you plan.)

  6. Lucky thing! Eat to your heart's content! I haven't been to Barcelona in 15 years but the Sagrada Familia is a must. If you can get to the Dali museum, it is also awesome!
