DIY Striped Mason Jar Vases

I Pinned this vase DIY project a while ago just for the baby shower on Saturday that I helped plan. I used 4 different sized mason jars I had around and bought pink & red streamers to go along with the color theme. The fringe turned out to be a bit more complicated & time consuming that I expected, so I simply wrapped around in stripes.  It helped to lay the stripes down and tape one end, then wrap around the jar (and for some reason, it was also easier sitting on the floor than at a table). White flowers in full bloom were the perfect touch!

Around the World with Emma Stone

Promoting The Amazing Spider-Man, Emma Stone has been traveling around the globe, showcasing high fashion looks in each city. I love how she keeps her jewelry minimal and lets the clothes speak for themselves. From lovely floral'n'lace in Madrid (my fave look!) to vampy goth in Paris, her style has been unique at each premiere.  Get her look for less...whatever your style.

A little Hanky Panky...

My step-sister-in-law gave me a selection of Hanky Panky undies in my Christmas stocking last year. The retro thong has since become my favorite underwear - sounds weird, but it's the best! Great for those who don't want underwear lines but also don't want to wear a skimpy, uncomfy thong.  This three pack is an affordable option to start out.

The Lazy Woman's Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

While I would love to say I typically bake from scratch, it's just not the case (unless it's the holidays and I am making Christmas cookies with my mom).  I recently saw this delicious dark chocolate chunk skillet cookie recipe on How Sweet It Is and wished had the cooking prowess, tools, and patience to make it.  I did a Google search for "easy chocolate chip cookie skillet recipe," and voila, the easiest recipe EVER came up.  Thank you, Doughboy.

Step 1: Buy a cast iron skillet and roll of Pillsbury chocolate chip dough.
Step 2: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 3: Dump roll on skillet, and press out with fingers.
Step 4: Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Step 5: EAT.

An Evening at Madewell

Thursday night at Madewell was a fun time shopping, seeing good blog friends, enjoying a complementary mani & red velvet cupcake...or two...
Shoes, shoes, shoes!
Mrs. A getting a manicure.
The future Mrs. W perusing the cover-ups.
It's love.

Thank you again to the Newbury Street Madewell store for a great night!
