Enjoy your fall weekend! I am looking forward to taking in a couple of Boston Fashion Week shows tomorrow.. Here are some faves of the week....
I recently watched the indie film Liberal Arts on demand, written and directed by HIMYM's Josh Radnor. The story tells of a mid-thirties guy, who hasn't done too much with his life, who returns to his college campus only to fall for a 19 year old (Elizabeth Olsen- my new fave Olsen). It's a movie with thoughtful, witty dialogic; cute chemistry between Radnor & Olsen; and a sort of coming of age story everyone can relate to.
Josh Radnor : Liberal Arts : : Zach Braff : Garden State.
I highly recommend!
One of my favorite fall trends each season is jewel tones. In home decor, accessories, or head-to-toe looks, I love vibrant blues, greens, and purples in rich textures. These bold colors never go out of style but each year come back with a modern twist. Tiffany's sent me a preview of their fall 2012 leather collection, and I was immediately smitten with the reversible tote, especially in the teal color. Swoon! I could totally see myself wearing this J.Crew necklace with work and night-out outfits.
What is your favorite jewel tone for fall?
After Saturday's apple picking, I am searching & Pinning recipes to put my bounty to good (and delicious) use. Here are some of my favorite finds:
Caramel Apple Cake (in my cooking dreams but this looks amazing)
What are your favorite fall apple recipes?
We rang in first day of fall the perfect way this weekend with apple picking at Tougas Farm, my favorite fall activity! The leaves aren't quite turning and it was a sunny, warm day, but the apples were plentiful. After we picked enough Macs, Empires, and Cortlands for snacks & apple crisp, we couldn't leave without a delicious cider donut for the road.
I immediately starred this image of the Florence Duomo in my Google Reader this week, realizing that in just 6 short weeks I will be back in my favorite city in the world(!!!). A lovely thought to kick off a nice fall weekend...here are my faves of the week. Have a good one!

On Sunday, my friend and I decorated our own TOMS. We started with the classic canvas and with the help of Martha Stewart paint & glitter, and our imagination, we created our own, unique pairs. We had so much fun and her killer Bloody Mary's with homemade maple oat scones weren't too shabby either.
Because it's officially the last week of summer...anchors away!

For your next evening outing, grab something skin-toned and shimmery like Laetitia Casta, Kate Hudson, Zoe Saldana, and Isla Fischer. Accessorize with a bright lip, fun shoes, or keep things neutral from head to toe. Would you wear this trend?
