I'm heading to Dallas/Ft. Worth to visit a friend over President's Day weekend. I've never been to either city and am excited to explore - maybe find me a cowboy? ;) I definitely want to visit Cowboy Stadium, shop local, and sample some southern eats.. .any suggestions for me on shops, tourist locations, restaurants?

ReplyDeletedefinitely visit cowboys stadium, its something to see!
ReplyDeleteOne of the cutest boutiques is called Milk and Honey. You'll love it. Some of my resto/bar picks are: Caty Trail Ice House, Fuel City (a gas station with great tacos. really), The Gin Mill, Breadwinners (brunch), Smoke, Standard Pour. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely trip!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been there in years but went to a fabulous modern Mexican place there. I bet the consignment stores there have great stuff so have fun!

Oh yes! I grew up in Fort Worth! You have to go to the Stockyards, it's so much fun and a real chance to experience some Texas history. They do a live rodeo every Friday night which is a lot of fun! Also, definitely explore downtown Fort Worth, there are some great things to do there! 8.0 and Flying Saucer are two of my favorite bars and if you can catch a performance at the Bass Hall, I recommend it! You absolutely have to go to Riscky's for the BEST bbq south of the Misssissppi, as they like to say =)
ReplyDeleteI second the Stockyards in Ft Worth idea.
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip!!
