Project Amelia

My brother shared this NPR link on his Facebook page this week, and I was immediately captured by Amelia's story and the photos by her & friend, Elizabeth Griffin. A photographer, Amelia Coffaro was diagnosed with breast cancer this year at age 28. Twenty-eight.  Just writing that makes me gasp as she is my age and fighting cancer.  As a photographer and creative, she, and Griffin (also a photographer), are documenting her journey and raising money for Coffaro's medical bills through Project Amelia (she has health insurance coverage issues but don't want to get too political here). Let's focus on the art and talents - a reminder to be thankful every day for good health.

  6. So true. Our health is the #1 important thing in this world and it's easy to forget that when things are status quo. So great of you to shed light on this story.
