Weekend Scenes: A Library Wedding

My step-brother got married over the weekend!  The weather was beautiful, and it was so fun to have all of my extended step family in town. The ceremony and reception took place at a small library outside Boston, and the bride had such cute library/book details that I wanted to share.

My mom put together the welcome bags with sponge-painted books on the outside; inside featured "bookworms".

We took pictures in Boston Common...my dress was Rent the Runway.

We had to take a bus selfie, of course, en route to the library.

Upon arriving, guests were invited to share best wishes, a funny story/memory, or congratulations to the couple in this book.

Each guest received an initialed bookmark when finding their place setting, or "chapter".

Loved the long tables...

As a favor, the bride and groom personally picked out a book for each guest and wrote a note inside (it was a smaller wedding). It was so thoughtful! Mine was about being successful in sales.

Cake!

Also included in the welcome bags were these door hangers - ain't that the truth!

A few of my essentials that night: borrowed clutch from mom, yes way rose tote to carry a pashmina & flip flops for dancing, red lip by YSL, and my necklace (a past Brimfield find).

Congratulations to the newlyweds!
