The Writing Process Blog Tour

Emily of Shell Chic'd tagged me in this writing process blog tour. I normally don't do these type of things, but I always like learning about the "behind the scenes" of bloggers, so I thought, why not?!

So here’s a little information on my blog writing process (or lack there of!):

What am I working on?
Right now I am working on a blog redesign.  La vie, Jaime just turned 5(!) and my blog’s focus has evolved since it’s inception (and even since I did the current design done a few years ago).  I am excited to share the new look this month.

How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I consider my blog to be a lifestyle blog, but it differs in that I really focus on myself and what I want to share - not what should be shared from a “lifestyle” blog.  If a recipe, beauty product, or DIY idea resonates with me, I blog about it. Each blogger has her own voice, so if you are true to that, I think you can always differentiate yourself in the genre.

Why do I write what I do?
This blog has been a fun outlet to share tidbits of my life and connect with other bloggers, mostly local. Boston has such a great community, so I really write for myself and them!

How does your writing process work?
I am kinda embarrassed to say that I don’t have much of a process. With my day-job being busy, I just try to post when I can and when inspiration hits.  I hope to someday have an “editorial calendar” or something of the sort.
If only this was my writing process!
Next Monday, my bestie and food blogger, Simply Gourmet in Southie, will be sharing her process.
