A Day at the Pool with Block Island Organics

Sunday was hot, hot, HOT here in Boston! The humidity was up and we hit 90 for the first time in 2015. DC and I headed to my friends, the Raddies, pool outside the city and hanging out in the clear, cool water was a perfect way to beat the heat.
Block Island Organics Sunscreen Review

Since I am fair skinned, I always heavily cover myself in sunscreen. Block Island Organics, a majority women owned company founded in nearby Block Island, RI, reached out to have my try their natural mineral sunscreen. After doing Whole30, I have been concerned with what I put in my body, but I am also aware now of what I put on my body and how it affects my health. All of Block Island Organics's products are free of parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, gluten, dyes and artificial fragrances (the active ingredient in the mineral sunscreen is zinc only). The application of the mineral sunscreen was non-greasy and soaked in really quick, which was good because I needed in the water - stat!. Plus, I loved the fresh smell!

We all have ways to beat the heat!

For one week (7/22-7/28),  Block Island Organics is offering 15% off site wide using the discount code = jaimeg. Hope you enjoy the mineral sunscreen as I do! Please note the code cannot be combined with other codes.

Fine print: Block Island Organics provided me the sample bottle. All opinions and post idea are my own.
